Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I am considering taking a job from 6am-10am M-F off campus. I have a class however that I can't change because of my major every TTh from 8-9:15. Its BUS M487 with Prof. Hatch. My question is do you guys have any idea if he records his lectures? Is attendance mandatory? My idea was to skip class every day and catch up after work. Thanks in advance.

-Sir definitely has his priorities straight.

A:

Dear Sir,

It doesn't sound like the best idea. According to Rate My Professor, Professor Hatch's classes are lecture heavy and grade mainly off group projects. He doesn't seem to, however, grade class participation or attendance. So it's up to you. Most professors don't record their lectures because they want their students to come to their class. Posting their lectures would kind of like be saying, "I want all of you to skip for the entire semester."

Dear Priorities,

Please, please, please don't do this to yourself. There is a reason class is held. It's because it's the best way for people to actually learn the requisite material. Literally the way non-online classes are set up is to have learning be facilitated by physical presence in class.

Perhaps you could make this work, but it would be incredibly painful and much more work-intensive than just finding another job that doesn't conflict with your classes.
