Dear 100 Hour Board,
If you could choose any of the following minors, which would you choose and why?
-Writing and Rhetoric
It'd depend on what was most relevant and career-enhancing for my major. If it was totally just for fun, probably History (except that probably shouldn't count for me since my undergrad, Teaching Social Sciences, already basically included a history minor and doing a history minor would have been super duplicative). Creative writing could also be fun, but I don't know if I'd actually enjoy having people tell me what to do and force me to do it on that front.
Getting a degree (or a minor) in history can be frustrating because the skills and knowledge you gain aren't what people typically think of when they consider history. The discipline teaches you how to research and write cohesively, and if those are the specific skills you're looking for in a minor, then pretty much every other option you listed would be better (except maybe Women's Studies). Don't get me wrong, I loved studying history, but it's not the most marketable or fulfilling educational choice.
Of the other options, I would probably go for Writing and Rhetoric or English, depending on which one better complemented my major. I love English, and I did debate doing an English minor, since I was taking a bunch of elective credits already, but I think Writing and Rhetoric would probably be a more marketable choice.
I would choose Interdisciplinary Humanities because it would sound the coolest when I told people what I minored in.
Other human: "What did you minor in?"
Me: "Interdisciplinary Humanities."
Other human: *pause* "Wow, can I have your autograph?"
Me: "Sure thing!"

Definitely Philosophy. I actually seriously considered adding this on as a second minor, but then decided not to because my academic life is painful enough as it is.
Women's Studies all the way! It probably wouldn't make me all that much more marketable, but it definitely would make me a more well-rounded person in general, and help me be a better human, and I think that's worth it. Although to be honest, everything on your list sounds pretty cool, and I had a really hard time picking just one.
