Dear 100 Hour Board,
How many Bridal Veil Falls are there in the world?
Likewise, what is the most common name, in the US, for a waterfall?
-This is a clever alias.
Answer: a lot of them (at least 38), and one on every continent but Antarctica. Most of them are in the United States, though. Especially Colorado.
- Catskill Mountains
- Columbia River Gorge
- Hanging Lake
- Idaho Springs (which is in Denver, CO... naturally...)
- Lake Serene
- Niagara Falls (Note: This Bridal Veil Falls is the smallest of the three waterfalls that makes up Niagara Falls)
- Pictured Rocks Natural Lakeshore
- Pollock Pines
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- Yosemite National Park
As far as common waterfall names, Bridal Veil Falls is by far the most popular. Other frequently-used names seem to include Angel Falls (or something angel-related, such as Angel's Staircase) and Rainbow Falls.
