Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

What are the things you wish you'd have known or done as a BYU freshman?

-Freshman

A:

Dear you,

I wish I had known pulling up a bad GPA is rather tricky. I also wish I had known how to find better nap spots, and not been afraid to go on dates. I think I perhaps asked one girl out all year at home, but that's what happens when you aren't spending money on food. Seriously, in no figurative sense I spent maybe 8 dollars on food that year. Saved a lot of money, spent a lot of time.

Suerte,

A:

Dear Frashmen,

I wish I'd known it's okay to struggle
and have things be hard
I wish I'd known it's okay to fail
after all the struggling

I wish I'd known BYU is more than school
it's made up of people too
I wish I'd known those people
just a bit better than I did

I wish I'd known life is better
than we sometimes think
I wish I'd trusted the smiles
of people who cared

But despite my mistakes
My misconceptions
of what I thought college would be
Things turned out better than I thought

Chances are
you'll have hard times with the good
But that's just life
And always remember that life is great
