Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

About Pandora, is there any way to combine stations I've created that are similar in what songs they play? And what happens if/when I delete a station...does Pandora still remember the songs I've thumbs-uped and play them on other stations where they fit the "musical qualities," or does each station stand alone in approved songs?

A:

Dear Trying,

I contacted Pandora, and here's what they told me.

You can't technically combine stations, but if you want to listen to a certain mix of stations, click "Shuffle" at the top of your Stations List, and then check the stations you'd like to have mixed. It should work to create the same sort of thing you're looking for.

If you delete a station Pandora will remember the feedback you've given that station - so you can recreate it anytime.

But ultimately, thumbs are station specific, so please feel free to thumb up and down accordingly. Giving a thumb rating on one station will not affect any of your other stations.

You can also 'add variety' to a specific station if you have another specific band/song you would like to be mixed in. While on the station you want to mix something with, click the 'add variety' button and type in whatever song or band you'd like to add in.
