Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

My boyfriend and I have recently started reading out loud together. It's fine to read at our apartments, but sometimes the roommates make it really noisy and a lot less convenient. So we were thinking of going outside, but we usually read in the evening after it's dark. What are some comfortable, preferably bug-free, well-lit places we can go around 9pm or later?

A: Dear Night Owl~

Well, anywhere you go outside you're going to be subject to the temperature, but it's been blazing hot around here at all hours anyway, so right now I guess that's a non-issue.

You could try the pavilions at Kiwanis Park, which is near Wasatch Elementary School on 900 East. I've gone there for nocturnal outdoor reading several times, although I'm more or less out of the habit now, so you don't have to worry about bumping into me there.

My other suggestion, which is slightly more expensive but considerably more tolerable on a number of levels, would be to go to Denny's and order a hot chocolate (free refills!). Then you can read and read to your hearts' content while slurping away at hot sugary goodness. Leave a good tip.
