Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I picked an orange off of a tree on my university campus, so I would have something to eat. Would that be considered stealing, since they sell oranges in the campus market?

A: Dear how cold can it be if you live where orange trees grow?,

If your university has a specific policy against picking campus fruit, then it's wrong. Otherwise, I think you're OK. The fact that something is for sale somewhere doesn't necessarily make it stealing if you find it for free.
