Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

To whom should tithing checks be written? I've always used the full name of the Church, but are there other allowable options, like the name of the ward, or Corporation of the Presiding Bishopric?

- Hand Cramp

P.S. I know a guy who says he sometimes makes his tithing checks payable to "God." And that the ward cashes them.

A: Dear Handy

I've always made my tithing checks payable to the name of the ward I am residing in (I'm not sure a bank would cash a check made out to God without some form of identification...).

-Humble Master
A: Dear Hand Cramp,

I asked a bishop that I know and he said that while other things may work that the full name of the Church is preferable. (Of course, this is only one Bishop's opinion.) Sorry about the hand cramps, but you shouldn't have to do it that often--so buck up!
