Dear 100 Hour Board,
I was doing some reading for my sharing the Gospel class, which I have regretfully put off, and I came across something that I thought was very interesting. In Alma 56 Helaman has written a letter to Moroni, and it is all written in first person except for one verse. I was wondering if the reason behind this was known. The verse is Alma 56: 52 and it occurs right when Helaman comes against the Lamanites as the Lamanites are fighting the men of Antipus.
That verse is an abridgement by Mormon. I guess he thought that part of the letter was a bit long and not especially spiritually enlightening--or he was just plain tired of etching at the time.
