Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Where's Mt. Waldo? I mean really. I want to live there.

A: Dear Yurt,

Well, the most famous Mt. Waldo is located in Frankfort Maine. That's the Mt. Waldo with the granite mine that produced tons of granite for various structures such as the Washington Monument, the US Senate Office Building, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the United Nations Building, the Philadelphia Mint, the Empire State Building, and several piers t hat support the Brooklyn Bridge. I say that the Mt. Waldo in Frankfort Maine is the most famous Mt. Waldo because often times people will give the same name to more than one geological feature (like the way they gave the name "Bridal Veil Falls" to 21 different water falls in the U.S. alone). If you're looking for a Mt. Waldo in a specific state then you can feel free to write in again and ask us.
