Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
what foods will stain your teeth, and what is the best method for whitening (thats not also economic)
- pale yellow

A: Dear staind:

Most compounds with nitrogen in them stain your teeth. The most outstanding examples of these are nicotine and caffiene, which will turn your teeth yellow. Proteins are also high in nitrogen content, so eating a lot of meat can do it too. Teeth, because they are bone and incorporate a lot of different minerals, are naturally a pale yellow color. But if you want them bright white, the best thing to do is talk to a dentist and have him prescribe some professional teeth-bleaching treatment. It won't be cheap, but it's effective. Crest White Strips are a lot cheaper and also quite effective, as long as you're careful to cover all your visible teeth. Otherwise, you'll have a big white spot in the middle and visible yellowing on the sides.
