Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
How many missions are there for the church? And how many missionaries are in each mission. I'm trying to calculate my odds of landing a way cool foreign speaking mission (the chicks dig it).

A: Dear Future Missionary,
Now remember, you should be happy wherever the Lord deems fit to send you. If you get sent stateside then he just doesn't want you to have that card with the ladies (it's true, they do dig it).

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is currently operating 333 missions in 165 nations. Missionaries in proselytizing (that's the word folks) missions count up to 60,850 of which 75% are young men. In North America you've got 112 missions. This of course assumes that Canadian missions aren't really foreign. All of this info is accurate as of two blue moons ago. That's the church has released on mission stats. Do with it what you will.
