Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
One time I was in grade school when I used a word that I thought had a different meaning than the actually denotation. It wasn't horrible, but I got in trouble none-the-less. I have often heard the "Canadian" term "hoser" used by several different students, and none could give me a clearcut definition. It doesn't sound like its anything bad, but I wouldn't want to offend anyone. So, what really is a "hoser."
- not from Canada

A: Dear non-Canadian,

From dictionary.com:

Hoser. Canadian slang. A clumsy, boorish person, especially an uncouth, beer-drinking man.

Hmm, not exactly a compliment...
