Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

What the heck is NCMO? Yeah I know it stands for non-commital make-out, but what does it imply? Just kissing? Because when I think of two people making out, I'm thinking more than kissing. Things that you'd need to talk to your Bishop about. Maybe I'm just going on a public school meaning of "make-out"...so what is the Mormon's definition of it?

A: Dear word-

Very involved kissing. It need not be more. Of course, in one case I know of, it also involved mutual shirt removal. That's a no-no. Might want to talk to the Bishop there.

Cases like that, when kissing is to use another person for physical gratification, are more egregious than mistakes made by those that get out of hand expressing actual affection.

A: Dear Word,

I agree. I think we should be a little more careful throwing around terms like; making out, scoring, and hooking up. Outside the bubble, they don't have quite the same connotation.
