Summer 2006 brought new changes to the Board, as it again found a new home with the Department of Communications. We would like to thank Dr. Melby, Dr. Manning, and the Linguistics Society for their support.
The Board is now hosted by the Daily Universe, a division of NewsNet. We are delighted to be part of the communications family, which is where we believe we will be able to fully fulfill the Board's objectives and purpose of existing. We hope to continue to serve you for many more years to come.
Submissions are now no longer subject to lingual analysis; however, the DU has the right to use submissions as it sees fit, including using ideas from submissions to write articles about campus issues. What does this mean to you? Nothing! All submissions are still kept in total confidence, regardless of content.
Simply, the DU has permission to view the information we post prior to it being made public. This is no different from what our previous hosts had access to. It probably won’t happen very often, but it’s a new policy you should be aware of.
Look for us in weekly opinion columns of the Daily Universe, BYU's campus newspaper.
